What to see in Fuenterrobles

Fuenterrobles has an enchanting landscape that invites you to enjoy hiking and mountain biking. It also has prepared a series of really interesting itineraries, dotted with monumental trees and other landmarks that you won't want to miss.

You can visit the beautiful lime trees of the Cooperativa and Talayuela, or the Barraca Pozuelo or the Dehesa, where various pines and other monumental species await. The Regajo poplars are another option, and on this route you can also visit the sandy areas and the Cid Cave.

To discover the origins of Fuenterrobles, there is nothing like the Water Route, and you can also find old mills, the Iberian settlement of La Peladilla or the old telegraph, where you can enjoy great views.

In the town centre, a visit to the Colección Museográfica Vida Rural or Rural Life Museum Collection is a must, with nearly 1,000 pieces that belonged to the inhabitants of Fuenterrobles! You will discover how life was in the past.

Afterwards, we suggest you visit the 18th century church or the municipal washing place, which you will love, and of course don't forget to take a photo at the Concejo or the Glorieta fountains! This place, surrounded by oak trees, is the very essence of the town.

You can't leave Fuenterrobles without tasting its wines and its fantastic cold meats, as well as its porridge, ‘arroz de segador’, gazpachos or ‘atascaburras’, dishes full of flavour and tradition! Its sweets will also win you over, so leave some room for its more local confectionery. Oh, and the festivities in Fuenterrobles invite you to join in: don't miss the Melon Day in August or the Pilgrimage of the Holy Cave in May!
