Craft market in Xàbia
Publishing date 12/01/2015
From 17th January Xàbia offers every Saturday a craft market in Plaza de Correos, near the old town. Come and enjoy it. Don't wait for others to tell you, there are activities for everyone!
There are about fifteen different stalls in total. This initiative seeks to get the charm of the old town known while providing a meeting point between the artisans and the public.
Approximately 40 artisans take part in this project; they prepare their stalls every week to ensure the widest range of products and materials. The products and materials include ceramics, wrought iron or leather to wooden toys, silver and crochet clothes. There are also stalls with organic products.
There are some artisans that offer workshops where children and adults make their own handicraft piece paying a nominal fee for materials. Some musicians and other artists liven the market up and ask for money to pay their costs. Some weekends visitors can envoy live music, puppets or juggling shows
