The highest level at the XVI SM La Reina - 2014 ORC European Championship

From July 1 to 6, the Valencia Royal Nautical Club will host the XVIth edition of the S.M. La Reina Trophy - 2014 ORC European Championship - The Homage to the Navy Regatta - the XXVII Almirante Sánchez-Barcaíztegui Cup. This is one of the most important nautical events in Spain and it will be held during these days in the waters of Valencia.

The S.M. La Reina Trophy is one of the most relevant Spanish nautical events which will celebrate its 27th edition this year, as always, with the support of Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal Family and the top brass of the Spanish Navy. Furthermore, this trophy is also a scoring competition for the European ORC class championship, as well as for the Spanish Championship in the Mediterranean region and the Juan Moreno Memorial.

 

Thus, over the course of these days, 61 vessels from 8 different nations will meet up in Valencian waters to face off over the course of four days of tests in which they will strive to earn the European cup and the SM La Reina Trophy, in which they will also be joined by local Club class units.

 

The XVI S.M. La Reina Trophy - 2014 ORC European Championship - The Homage to the Navy Regatta - the XXVII Almirante Sánchez-Barcaíztegui Cup is organised by the Valencia Royal Nautical Club (RCNV), the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFEV) and the Offshore Racing Council (ORC), with the participation of the Valencia Region Sailing Federation (FVCV) with the goal of offering a great competition between the best Cruiser Class units in Europe.
