From March 3 to 12, the flavours of the sea and the rich culinary heritage of La Vila Joiosa draw us once again towards this town in the Marina Baixa, with the 17th edition of the Mostra de Cuina Marinera (Seafaring Cuisine Display). Over the course of these days, the finest restaurants in town will offer special menus based on fish and seafood dishes drawn from the tasty traditional recipes of a delectable culinary heritage.
With the Mediterranean as its grand display case, the cuisine of La Vila Joiosa is a veritable delicacy brought to you by the sea. That is why this is an excellent opportunity to sample tuna fish, salted fish, local seafood or the infinite variety of fish and rice dishes participant restaurants have prepared for this year's edition.
An excellent opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of the flavours of La Vila Joiosa as well as the hidden corners of its historic town centre, an artistic and historical complex that has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. It is also a great excuse to enjoy a sunny walk down the Levante jetty and the fishing wharf, where you can see the excellent raw materials provided to us by the Mediterranean first-hand. It goes straight from there to the dining room table in but a few hours' time. What more can you ask for!
