Herbers is a small municipality in Castellón, in the region of Els Ports, included in the route 99 of municipalities with less than 100 inhabitants, a small corner with a lot to show! We are going to make a list of everything you have to do in Herbers, so you can make the most of your visit!

What to see in Herbers

In Herbers, don't miss the Casa del Baron de Herbés, built in the 16th century with defensive elements in Gothic style. A must-see in the upper part of the village! An old coat of arms, the old icehouse and even the cellars and dungeons are still preserved.

The Church of St. Bartholomew the Apostle or the fantastic Gothic fish market, both from the 14th century, are other places of interest in Herbers. You can also visit the old fish market, which is nowadays an inn.

There is plenty to see and do in the area around Herbers, so pack comfortable shoes and enjoy the beautiful hiking trails! We recommend walking to El Botador, a waterfall in a beautiful natural setting just one kilometre away from the town centre, on your way to the hermitage of the Virgen del Sargar, where there is a recreational area perfect for having a picnic while the little ones play.

The water has created another very interesting landscape, the Ullals de Pitarch, something you can’t miss if you're in Herbers!

La Tossa is another point from where to enjoy spectacular views, and along the way you will be able to see other points of interest such as the Balsa de la Cruz and les Fossetes. Keep walking to reach the Cuevas Agujereadas and return via the Cardona spring.
