This route takes you through all the valleys that border the north of the spectacular Sierra de Aitana. Scattered among the hills, ravines, slopes and valleys are villages founded by the Arabs, where both their design and the beautiful countryside made up by their dry stone walled terraces and irrigation channels provide the human touch.

Other marvellous sights along the route are the towers and castles that watched over the access points to the area. They are of Arab origin, but nowadays you can visit the Christian fortresses that were built over their ruins. Of course, you'll visit the Sierra de Aitana, with the highest peak of all the Betic mountains in our region, to enjoy the exceptional peace and quiet and really spectacular sweeping views. You'll be moved by the Guadalest valley, the Sierra de Bèrnia and the Fuentes del Algar. On the coast, you can visit wonderful beaches and coves, as well as the cliffs and islets along the coast of the Serra Gelada.
