Fiestas in the Region of Valencia

In towns and cities throughout the whole of the Region of Valencia and throughout the whole year, countless festivals take place, which are attended by the thousands due to their colourfulness and spectacular nature. These are first-rate cultural tourist attractions related to religion, popular folklore and history.

Over a thousand festivals are held, of which the most important are those that have been declared to be of National and International Tourist Interest as a result of their historical tradition, high participation levels or the far-reaching media coverage received, amongst other reasons.

Fire, fireworks, music, colour, exhibitions and shows are all substantial elements of the Region of Valencia's celebrations which have been organised for years and are enjoyed on the streets, for neighbours and visitors alike so that the hospitality and invitation to participate in the festive events turn the towns and cities into a social happening.
