America's Cup in Valencia - The challenge in the Region of Valencia

The celebration of the America's Cup in Valencia meant the consolidation of the city as a destination open to the Mediterranean Sea, which features infrastructures on a par with this great event. The competition was experienced with intensity and put Valencia on the world map of sailing tourism.

Currently, the Marina Real Juan Carlos I is a place where work, life, and leisure live together permanently. Without forgetting its nautical tradition, it has become one of the main sports harbours of the Mediterranean, with more than 900 moorings. It features first-class facilities capable of accommodating ships of between 8 and 150 meters long, and a specific dock for super yachts of over 25 meters.

It is a lively venue, which has more than 2,500 square meters of children's entertainment areas, 4 kilometres of bicycle paths and walking areas, a full range of dining and entertainment premises, leisure sailing and boat trips companies. It also houses the Museum of the Cup, an interactive tour through the history of the world's oldest trophy: the America's Cup.
