Festivities in honour of the Virgen de Loreto

The festivities in honour of the Patron Saint begin with the official “Pregón”, the presentation of responsibilities and the “Bous al carrer” (Bull and cow running) on the 31st of August. The 1st ,2nd and 3rd of September are the celebration of Moors and Christians with night processions, landings, and the conquest and re-conquest of the castle, etc. The culmination of Moors and Christians is on the 3rd of September. On the 4th and 5th of September there are more processions, games for children, street theatre, and sporting competitions etc. highlighting the Multicolour parade with floats celebrated on the 6th . The 7th and 8th of September are completely dedicated to veneration and acts in honour of the Patron to the Villa, the “Virgen de Loreto”, with a large floral offering, a sung Mass with Sermon, a solemn procession and a firework display finalising the festivities in honour of the Patron.
