The beaches and coves in Jávea are popular among tourists, and with good reason. Along the coastline, you will find all sorts of services, glistening seascapes and tranquil, clear waters. If you are keen to spend an unforgettable day at a paradisical beach, we’ve got the perfect place for you.

Sardinera cove is a small virgin cove that is just 200m long. This pebbly stretch of the coastline sits to the north of Cap Prim or Cap de Sant Martí. If you’re wondering how to get to Sardinera cove, you have to walk along a trail from Cruz de Portitxol Viewing Point. Along the way, you will be amazed by the wonders of this beautiful and pristine landscape.

The cove is named after the sardinales, light fishing nets that were cast twice a day – sunrise and sunset – to catch sardines.

Sardinera cove is a peaceful spot that doesn’t tend to get busy. It’s the perfect place to go snorkelling and gaze at what lies below the surface of the water. Anchor buoys have been set up to provide anchorage to boats and avoid them from damaging the Mediterranean tapeweed on the seabed.

Start planning a relaxing day on the coast. Once you’ve been to Sardinera cove, you’re sure to be back before too long.
