Ontinyent Plaza Mayor

On the banks of the River Clariano and surrounded by fertile cropland stands Ontinyent, a town with a long agricultural and textile tradition, as well as an array of impressive monuments. The capital of the region of La Vall de Albaida offers so many charms, including La Vila, a medieval quarter, declared to be of Cultural Interest, which offers civil and religious buildings of great historic value. The webcam shows the main town square (Plaza Mayor), the hub of activity in the town since the 16th Century, which over the centuries has become the site for all Otinyent's celebrations and festivals, from the Epiphany Parade to the Easter Processions and the Moorish and Christian Embassies.
