Gandia

Gandia

Gandia was originally a dukedom, and still contains examples of its mosaic of landscapes found around the La Safor district in the province of Valencia.

It combines mountains and sea, the interior and the coast, monuments and leisure, but above all the main tourist attraction is the broad sandy beach running from the harbour, El Grau, northwards to the neighbouring towns.

This is where people come to enjoy themselves, with a long seafront promenade with all kinds of places to go - restaurants, cafés, terraces, hotels, discos, campsites and attractions for tourists of all kinds.

The historic town centre is well worth a visit, with monuments and good shopping areas. The coastline is good for all kinds of outdoor sports, either on land or in the sea as seen through the webcam at Gandía
