The Restaurante El Cortijo is characterized being always investigating, creating and enjoying with its gastronomy. As a result of this project, they have created dishes that are now considered real classics in their cuisine. We can highlight, among others, the "All i Pebre" of monkfish with potatoes, the "Arròs a Banda" based on an old traditional recipe, the dates of mar a la marinera, the clams with artichokes, the "Suquet de Peix" or the "Cassoleta d'Espardenyes".

This establishment opened its doors as a flamenco tablao in 1967 but within a few months, it became a tapas bar. This bar continued growing until it consolidated and became a benchmark in the gastronomy of Benicarló. Their expertise has led them to master the dishes made with the best raw material from the Mediterranean Sea.

However, the good news does not end here. In El Cortijo, they have their own bakery and ice cream shop where they design their desserts and sweets. In the section of confectionery, they are very proud of their ice cream mantecados, sorbets made with fruits of the season and the soufflé Cortijo. In addition, they organize all kinds of events and celebrations with personalized menus for every occasion.

In Benicarló,  the marine and the modern atmosphere come together. It has the most up-to date facilities to enjoy the sea while preserving the traditions of a seaport. The Artichoke of Benicarló is internationally recognized. It has the European Denomination of Origin label and it is a star in the cuisine of the town of the province of Castellón.
