Open areas and a small dune chain form this open one kilometre and a half beach, with fine and golden sand, located in a transitional area between the town limits and dunes on the southern extreme.

Natural, open and virgin beach bordered on the north by river Segura and on the south by beach Babilònia. It stands out because of its more than two kilometres of fine sand and its environment, marked by an important chain of dunes fixed by abundant vegetation and extensive pinewoods. Important archaeological findings known as Rábita Califal and La Fonteta can be seen in the dune area.

Its width, of almost one kilometre and a half, is the main characteristic of this crowded and well cared beach with cosmopolitan aspect. It is delimited by a bustling waterfront, behind which catering and leisure services to all likings follow one another. With clear waters, its sand is fine and golden, and seasonal facilities where hiring windsurfing boards or registering in light sail courses follow one another. Accessible beach for people with reduced mobility.

It is one of the typical beaches in Alicante, envied by many other provinces because of its size, fine and almost white sand and especially because of its location in the middle of the city. Vegetation accompanying its other attractions makes it even showier. It has all typical infrastructures in a very crowded beach and it is a meeting point for leisure in summer nights.
