The Region of Valencia's mediaeval gastronomic tradition comes to life every 5th December at the El Cancell restaurant part of the L'Agora Hotel in Bocairent. A delicious way to discover the roots of our cuisine.

Room of the hotel l'ÀgoraThis year, El Cancell restaurant proposes a banquet based on the food that would have been eaten during the reign of King James I of Aragon. The planned menu comprises dishes recorded by anonymous authors in recipe manuscripts that have survived into the present day. The dishes include a wild mushroom sauce and hake with almonds and spices.
