The former Municipal Hospital in Xátiva is a good example of the artistic harmony of the union of the Gothic and Renaissance styles. The most surprising element of the building is its facade, which presents an agreeable and elegant composition of ornamentation. In its interior is the chapel vault of the Asunción, which is of high artistic and architectural interest. The Municipal Hospital was created in the XVI century with the aim to offer sanitary services to the patients of the city with no economic resources.
