Check out this pretty chapel nestled in a leafy park in Llíria and go on an unforgettable journey.

Ermita de San Vicente, San Vicente Chapel, sits in a scenic spot in Llíria, in the county of El Camp de Túria in Valencia. You can’t miss paying a visit to this leafy haven, which is flooded with hustle and bustle on the first Sunday after Easter Monday every year due to the pilgrimage that travels to this very spot. The legend claims that San Vicente Ferrer performed a miracle right here in 1410 and this led to the construction of a chapel, although older than the one now standing.

To arrive at the San Vicente that stands today, we must travel back in time to 1750 when the original chapel was knocked down. The present-day chapel possesses a Baroque style with Neoclassical features. A simple structure, this building has plenty of charm and is well worth peeking your head into.

The history of the area in which San Vicente Chapel is situated tells tales of hermits, Franciscan and Trinitarian friars, and even cavalry barracks from the Spanish Civil War; it holds a fascinating past. What’s more, the lush scenic surroundings make for the perfect place to have a picnic with family, and your tupperware sandwiches will taste even better in a setting like this! The park here is replete with facilities to ensure your trip to Llíria is as enjoyable as possible. Add this destination to your list of places to visit and go on an adventure.
