Teatro Romano de Sagunto, Sagunto’s Roman Theatre in the province of Valencia is an awe-inspiring 1st-century AD landmark. The amphitheatre is a whopping 90 metres in diameter and can hold up to 8000 spectators.

Located very near Sagunto Castle, the classic-style Roman theatre is made up of three principal areas: the stage, the cavea (the seating area) and the orchestra pit where the musicians sit, accompanying the performance with their powerful music.

Sagunto’s Roman amphitheatre may be an archaic monument but it is still very much alive, putting on a diverse range of performances all year around and especially in summer.
