The coves del Batà is a group of eight cave-houses excavated directly on the ground occupy a surface of 450 square metres. Acquired and restored by the Government of Paterna, which aims to recuperate the town’s tradition and heritage and also has an ethnographic collection with a variety of objects that range from agricultural and textile materials to the Studio of Paterna’s blascksmith Ernest Simò. Also, one of the caves presents a reproduction of an original cave-house. In addition, different exhibitions on painting, photography and also sculpture take place and there is a room dedicated to “la cordà” (a local event).
