Take a look around this incredible place of worship in a destination defined by its artistry. Llíria is bursting with heritage.

Iglesia de la Sangre, La Sangre Church in Llíria, is a magnificent church built between the 13th and 14th centuries. Listed a National Monument and Site of Cultural Interest, the church is significant – in part – because you can see how the Romanesque style transforms into the Gothic. You’re going to love identifying elements of each of these architectural styles during your visit.

The main façade of La Sangre Church is Romanesque, constructed in the 14th century. Inside, you’ll see a staircase in the Mudejar Gothic style. Highly beautiful polychrome and artesonado adorned with vegetal and animal motifs define the interior alongside some scenes of knights. La Sangre Church is also home to paintings of great value: you’re sure to get some lovely pictures.

The church is thought to have been built on an old mosque. Come and take a look around this beautiful church and discover the monumentality of a destination that has been declared a City of Music by UNESCO as you visit San Miguel Royal Monastery, the Arab Baths and Cerro de San Miguel Iberian settlement.
