The City Museum is located in an XVIII century building outstanding for the sobriety of its lines. Originally built as the Palace of the Dukes of Villahermosa, it was converted at the beginning of the XIX century to the seat of the Military Command, later becoming the home of the Marquis de Campo, the name which it still bears. Its last owners were the Counts of Belbedere, before it passed into the city's hands in 1974 and was restored by the well-known architect Portacelí.
