Parc Arqueològic i Museu de l'Alcudia

The place was inhabited from Neolithic times right up to the Visigoth era, a result of which is the extraordinariness of the variety and wealth of materials found, although its fame is due, above all, to the discovery in 1897 of the bust of the Dama de Elche (Lady of Elche), the masterpiece par excellence of Iberian art, probably sculpted in the 4th century B.C. In the museum one can contemplate materials from the Copper Age and the Bronze Age, important Iberian pieces such as various sculptural and ceramic remains with figurative decorations, as well as a great abundance of pieces from the era of Roman domination.
