With its style, this building was designed by Jorge Gisbert Berenger, and was built between 1846 and 1863 in the space that the Convent of San Agustín once occupied. On the main stairway and in different rooms, paintings and sculptures of local artists can be admired, including works by Fernando Cabrera Cantó, Ramón Castañer, Adolfo Durá, Plácido Francés, Edmundo Jordá, Antoni Miró, Emilio Sala and other outstanding contemporary artists.
