What to see in Vallanca

The historic centre of Vallanca may be small, but it has preserved its authentic charm over the years, still present in its old streets and landmarks that are well worth checking out. Make sure you visit the 17th-century Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles Parish Church while you’re there.

Admire the ancient constructions of Pósito House, San Roque Chapel and Diezmera House, and see if you can spot the old wooden beams and historic façades. Vallanca is a photographer’s dream place, full of magical corners perfect for a photoshoot.

In the small hamlet of Negrón in Vallanca stands a Franciscan church dedicated to San Antonio de Padua and a typical old wash house, both key historic sites in the area that are great for sightseeing. 

The Vallanca surroundings abound with natural beauty and the river Bohilgues with its stunning waterfalls is a standout feature. A 10-km circular walk, clearly signposted, takes you along the river and is a great activity to do with the family.

More things to see are Cerro Vallanca, Hondonero, Rambla de la Boquilla, the Negrón woodland, Los Moros Cave, and the Monumental Tree Route. Vallanca is a real hiking paradise, adorned with plentiful freshwater sources.
