One of the greatest draws of the Region of Valencia is its diverse array of landscapes, customs and cultures. Meliana is one of the most picturesque municipalities in the region, so why not discover the village and let yourself be seduced by its charms?
A small coastal municipality located in the Horta Nord county, Meliana sits north of València city. The village has seen great demographic growth over recent years as it is just 7 kilometres from the capital.
What to do in Meliana
The contrast between the sea and the huerta give Meliana a unique and special atmosphere. The surrounding area is also very pretty: the river Carraixet passes through the village and there is also beautiful fuente de San Antonio.
A Greenpeace report recently declared Meliana beach to be one of the most unspoilt in the Region of Valencia. Its clean sand and clear waters are the perfect place to spend long and lazy days enjoying the sun, sea and peaceful atmosphere.
The wonderful landscapes of Meliana - combining fields and the coast - make it a wonderful place to do some walking with your friends, family and loved one. There is a selection of lovely walking trails you can follow.
One of the treasures of Meliana is mosaico de Nolla, a quintessentially Valencian mosaic that is unique in the world. Once you’ve gazed at its beauty, you can walk through the streets of the municipality and visit Los Santos Juanes church, Cristo de la Providencia chapel and Palacio de Nolla: sights that showcase the charm of Meliana.
