What to do in Dos Aguas

A must during your time in Dos Aguas is wandering around the centre, climbing up to the highest part of the destination to see the ruins of Dos Aguas Castle and Vilaragut Tower. The tower is part of a larger medieval fortification and a feature of the urban landscape. From here, you will breathe in amazing views.

Afterwards, make your way to Nuestra Señora del Rosario Parish Church along the peaceful streets and then visit the public wash house where you are sure to get some great photos. Outside the centre of Dos Aguas are the ruins of Madrona Castle, a medieval construction that sits on the banks of the River Júcar. 

The castle ruins afford incredible views that will take you aback. On your way here, you will have passed by olive, carob and almond groves in truly beautiful rural scenery. The list of things to do in Dos Aguas continues with the trails snaking through the nearby mountains. There are routes for walkers and cyclists to El Ave Peak and Sierra del Caballón.

Lastly, you can’t leave Dos Aguas without seeing the rock art and dinosaur footprints, known as ichnites. The rock art is located in caves, namely La Cocina Cave, El Cinto de las Letras Cave, La Pareja Rock Shelter, La Covacha del Tío Asensio and El Cinto de la Ventana.
