Vlogs

The aroma of orange blossom infuses the streets of Daimús, a Mediterranean destination that sits in the heart of one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Region of Valencia: La Safor. Here you can soak up the serenity of the town, spend long lazy days at the beach and savour delicious cuisine.

What to do in Daimús

Daimús is a Mediterranean town that couldn’t be better suited to a beach getaway. But the destination offers more than long sandy beaches: a stunning mountainscape is just a stone’s throw away and is waiting to be explored.

The beaches on this stretch of the coastline are sandy and offer crystalline waters. Los Pedregales beach, for instance, is the perfect place to take refreshing dips and do some snorkelling. Meanwhile, inland you will find rugged mountains that are snaked with a network of hiking trails that will lead you deep into nature

In the town of Daimús itself, there are a number of different sights and buildings that speak of its past. A case in point is l’Hort del Comte i el sepulcro de Baebia Quieta, an archaeological site that is much beloved by the locals. Thought to be part of the town of Artemision, the sepulchre is home to some Roman remains, including two white marble sculptures of a head of a man and a woman in addition to two gravestones. Sant Pere church is also well worth a visit, a place of worship that brings locals together.

Daimús is also known for the delicious cuisine served at its fantastic eateries. There is even a Michelin-starred restaurant run by renowned chef Manuel Alonso. His passion for cuisine has been passed down the generations and he gives his traditional family recipes an inventive twist. A sensation for the senses.
