What to see in La Vall d'Ebo

First, take a stroll through the centre of La Vall d’Ebo and take a look around San Miguel Arcángel Parish Church, built in 1576, and home to beautiful sculpture of Virgen de los Desamparados, which has been attributed to the school of the master sculptor Ignacio Vergara. When outside the church, look out for the lovely ceramic altarpiece dating to the 19th century on the façade.

Outside La Vall d’Ebo, there is an endless list of historic and natural attractions for you to explore. The ice houses in Sierra de la Carrasca and La Vall d’Ebo Castle are historic structures that give us an insight into what life was like in the area centuries ago. Put them on your to-visit list. You will also find fountains – namely La Serra and El Monjo – and an old waterwheel.

But it is the incredible orography of La Vall d’Ebo that make it a special destination, particularly for cavers and hikers that enjoy peacefully roaming the landscapes. Photographers that love capturing and sharing their scenic shots won’t want to miss out on a visit to this incredible municipality.

A good place to start is Cova del Rull, a magical cave that makes an excellent family day out. Accompanied by a guide, you’ll walk the cave’s set route through the awe-inspiring stalactites and stalagmites. This is one of the most beautiful underground caves in the Region of Valencia, so make sure you don’t miss it.

Barranc de l’Infern, an impressive gorge with sheer rockfaces, is another of La Vall d’Ebo’s attractions. You’ll require knowledge and equipment for this technical route, parts of which are canyoning sections. You do, however, have the opportunity to follow an easier walk starting at Font d’en Gili picnic area, which showcases the beauty of the landscape. Come and discover the beauty of La Vall d’Ebo.
