Torreblanca

Torreblanca is defined by its natural landscapes. This stretch of the Costa Azahar is lined with long sandy beaches that are ideal for a family day at the beach and pristine little coves where you can soak up nature at its wildest. And if that weren’t enough, in the background there are beautiful hills and mountains that add a touch of the fairytale to this beautiful destination. 

What to see in Torreblanca

Beyond its landscapes, Torreblanca won’t fail to seduce you with its rich culture and traditions. Street art is prevalent here and as you wander through the town you will see the most beautiful murals painted on many different buildings. The streets thus become a sort of outdoor gallery where you can soak up the skill, colours and stories of the artwork.

There are also a number of buildings that are of particular importance to locals. For example, Calvario y Primitiva church is a simple and pretty 15th century chapel that is located in San Francisco fortress. The fortified chapel of Sant Francesc is another religious site well worth a visit, where you can see the town’s original coat of arms. 

As you venture outside the town, you will find the most stunning beaches. Nord beach, for example, offers five long kilometres of fine sand and crystalline waters that have won a myriad of awards: the Blue Flag, the Q for Tourist Quality, The Qualitur Flag and the Green Aenor Flag. As you laze on the sand, enjoying the feel of the sea breeze on your face, you can gaze up at the beautiful sight of Papa Luna castle. 

Torrenostra beach is a wonderful choice if you’ve got children. It marks the northern border of El Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca natural park, one of the most unspoilt wetlands in the Region of Valencia. Here you will find the most wonderful plants and animals, such as the peacock mantis shrimp, Spanish toothcarp and Valencia toothcarp.
