We suggest you escape to a destination full of rural charm and great landscapes. Discover this corner of Castellón!

In Fuente la Reina, in the province of Alto Mijares in Castellón, you'll find a good number of charming spots that can be reached on beautiful hiking routes, and a really surprising town centre! Come with us to explore it and make a note for a getaway.

Fuente la Reina: What to see

You can start with a stroll around the town to visit the 17th century parish church of the Virgen de los Ángeles, a small but beautiful temple. Its town hall is also a good example of traditional architecture, and on the ground floor you'll find the old oven, where bread was once baked. It's well worth a visit, as it is now used as an exhibition hall!

You should also not miss a stroll through the streets Blas and Solanar, which have houses that actually hang over the Maimona ravine, and some parts of the streets Placeta and Arrabal.

In the surroundings of Fuente la Reina you will find old constructions such as the Water wheel, next to the Fuentes Pierre and the Antiguo Molino de Justo. Also the Calera or place where the lime was produced in the Sabine, the Cistern in the Navajo Blanco and a good number of old corrals.

Strolling from fountain to fountain is another great plan in Fuente la Reina, and you can't miss the Mangraneras fountain, in a beautiful spot with great views of the hanging houses and with a municipal washing place. And of course the "Fuente de la Reina", where the Maimona and La Graja ravines meet.

Include in your route the fountains of El Terrero, Los Baños, La Pinosa, Pierre and also the botanical trails that start from some of them. In the Pinosa fountain you will also find a very interesting path to the cave of the same name.

Finally, we invite you to discover the festive character of Fuente la Reina in August. The streets will be full of good atmosphere! Will you put this destination on your list of things to discover?
