Explore the beautiful scenery embracing a pretty little village with plenty of history - Caudiel.

Located in El Alto Palancia, Caudiel is defined by its landscapes, history and heritage. This is a great inland destination where you can set out on an exploration of great wines and trace the footsteps of the Holy Grail

What to see in Caudiel

Caudiel has been inhabited for a great many centuries, as is demonstrated by Iberian and Roman remains as well as Torre del Molino, also known as Torre de Aníbal, a tower located on the outskirts of the village. The narrow streets are sprinkled with points of interest like the three wash houses and fountains, some of which are very old.

Another important sight is Convento de las Carmelitas Descalzas, a beautiful convent with a Baroque interior and an austere exterior that was built in the 17th century.

Caudiel is swept up in lovely scenery populated by kermes oaks, oaks and maritime pines. Lovers of walking and cycling are in luck as the destination is on the Vía Verde de Ojos Negros and close to all sorts of beautiful areas, such as Cueva de la Cerdaña, which is ideal for an excursion with little ones, and La Grieta, a recreational area where you and your family can enjoy time together in the fresh air.

Caudiel is a great starting point for all sorts of excursions and explorations of El Alto Palancia. The village also has a lovely festival celebrating the cherry, Feria de la Cereza

The event, which takes place in June, is also the perfect time to try the traditional recipe for caldera, which has a lot of history behind it, as well as - of course - plenty of products celebrating the delicious local cherries. So what are you waiting for? Start planning your getaway to Caudiel today.
