It was built in the IX Century by the Moors and conquered by the Christians in the XIII Century. Nowadays it is home to the Museum of Archaeology and Local History, and its outstanding exhibit is the collection of Moorish plasterwork objects in the protonazarí style, unique in the region of Valencia. They come from an Andalusian-style house in San Cristóbal Square in Onda.
