CHURCH OF NTRA. SRA. DE LA ASUNCION
This monument is one of the finest architectonical examples of the Valencian catholic Counter-Reformation. Its magnificent façade-retable, of baroque style, is composed of three bodies and contains a group of sculptures with an iconography elaborating the topic of the church’s triumph over paganism. The interior of the church consists of three naves with semi-circular arches, which are interconnected with arches of the same style. Of special significance are the Crossing, the Presbytery and the dome with an octagonal tambour which rests over scallops.
