Echoes in Vall de Pop sound like Christmas carols

Vall de Pop decks itself out for the Christmas season. The towns of Alcalalí, Xaló, and Parcent celebrate the upcoming holidays by caroling in their town squares. The Christmas spirit is alive in these Christmas songs that bring out the best of us, reminding everyone of the importance of family and children’s excitement and anticipation.

The U3A choir and a group of children will perform in AlcalalíXaló, and Parcent on December 13, 16 and 19, respectively. The stories of Christmas Eve, the baby Jesus, the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, the Three Wise Men, the shepherds and the donkey and ox will fill the nights in Vall de Pop with magic and hope.

Vall de Pop is situated on the banks of the Gorgos River, which runs through the towns of Benigembla, Murla, Parcent, and Alcalalí. From here, the valley opens up, leading to the towns of Xaló, Llíber, Senija, and Benissa. It is place of stark contrasts with imposing mountain ranges, sinuous ravines, valleys with the aroma of vineyards and steep coastlines with spectacular coves and mesmerizing cliffs.

And don’t forget the important cultural heritage this corner of the Alicante province is home to: dry-stone architecture, cave paintings, museums and paths leading to beautiful spots.
