Les Misérables arrives in Valencia in style, as its grand premiere in this city will take place at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, where it will run from November 22nd to December 22nd. Les Misérables is a timeless story whose values have endured over time. The themes covered in Victor Hugo’s novel are often surprisingly close to us: the struggle for freedom, courage or revolution are some of the central themes in the work.
Set in 19th century revolutionary France, it tells the story of Jean Valjean as he is pursued for decades by a ruthless policeman, Javert, after he broke his parole. When Valjean decides to take Cosette, the daughter of Fantine, under his wing, his life and hers will be changed forever. www.losmiserables.es
