The Cinema Jove International Film Festival, which celebrates 30 years, starts these days in Valencia. This Festival is the perfect occasion to meet in scoop the work of new directors and actors, but also to discover Valencia. Come and discover new talents in cinema.

Sala Berlanga and Sala José Sancho of Rialto, Teatro Principal, Instituto Francés, Sala IVAM, Jardines de Viveros, Sala SGAE Centre Cultural, Sala MUVIM and Room Service Lounge Bar-Ayre Hotel Astoria Palace,are the hallsbecoming the temporary headquarters of this specialized film festival,that has become a springboard for many young hopefuls, fromJune 19 to 26.

The Festival Cinema Jove has confirmed that the director honored with the Special Award "Luna de Valencia", is Swedish Ruben Östlund (Turist, 2014). On the other hand, the actress Irene Escolar (Las ovejas no pierden el tren, 2014) will collect the award "A future of cinema" in recognition of her promising career.

The Official Selection consists of 10 feature films and 56 short films that reflect the reality of the world we live in, transporting the viewer to distant or parallel worlds.

In addition, throughout the week of the Festival, a whole number of film related activities are scheduled, such as the Cult Fiction cycle.Horror + Humor in American cinema of the 80s, the Making Off Meetings, the Valencia Panorama section or Special Projections, as well as the traditional Audiovisual Youth Meeting, where youngsters can learn about the resources of cinema.

The Festival consolidates in its 30th edition its philosophy: a new, independent, attractive and quality cinema, with a nonconformist and rebellious spirit that exudes youth and at the same time, maturity. What are you waiting for? Come and discover it!
