During the first weekend in October, Sagunt commemorates its medieval past, when Jews, Moors and Christians lived side-by-side, with a Medieval Market and the Moors and Christians festival. A great reason for visiting the town and exploring its monuments and cultural heritage.

 

All through the weekend, Sagunt runs a packed programme of festival events featuring Moors and Christians, plus festivities in honour of the Verge del Remei. Every street in the town is packed with fun and entertainment, with ceremonies such as the despullament del Moro, parades, nit d'Olla and the re-enactment of the Day of Conquest battle. Don't miss this opportunity to discover Sagunt's monuments and cultural heritage.

 

The town will also be holding a Medieval Market with lots more to enjoy, including street entertainment, gegants i cabuts (costumed figures), jugglers and acrobats, parades with tabalet and dolçaina music, firework displays and lots of other events and activities.
