With the intention of promoting the beautiful municipality also during the winter months, the Orihuela Winter Tourist Routes have been created.
Orihuela is also for winter

TheWinter Tourist Routes of Orihuela seek to attract visitors to the town of Alicante and also discover unknown corners of the municipality to their neighbours. These itineraries are being carried out during the first quarter of the year 2019 and want to give added value to the coastal area, the districts and the monumentality of the historic centre.

The main novelty of these activities is the incorporation of theRoutes for Children, designed to be enjoyed as a family. They are intended for the young ones to be the stars of these tourist itineraries. To achieve this, Gabriela's character has been created; she will become children’s friend and teach them magical places in Orihuela in a very entertaining way. Both in the month of February and March, the routes will be held on Sunday 24 from 12 o'clock.

On Sunday February 10, there will be another of the novelties of these Winter Tourist Routes: theRoute to the Almazarade la Aparecida. It will start at 10 am and will reveal all the mysterious corners of this construction. On Saturday, February 16, it is the turn of theMonumental Route, at 11 o’clock;it will cover the main streets and monuments of the historic centre of Orihuela.

In March, the first route will be on Sunday 10. That day, a Nordic Walkingalong the coastal area of the municipality will take place – aroute of Nordic walkingwhere you walkwith aids similar to those used in skiing. On Saturday, March 16, it will be the turn of theHernandiana Route;it will reveal the most significant places that were part of the life of the poet Miguel Hernández, native from this village.

All Winter Tourist Routes have limited places, so it is necessary to register as soon as possible not to be left out.You can do so in the Tourist Info Office in Orihuela or by phone, on 965 30 46 45 for all routes except for the Nordic Walking Route, which is managed by the Tourist Info of Orihuela Playa. In this case, you have to contact 96 676 00 00 Ext.32.
