The countdown to the start of this 43rd edition of the Half Marathon of Elche Mizuno Gran Prix starts now. People are already registering smoothly, with nearly three thousand athletes listed, of which 750 are women.
The half marathon of Elche has the support of seven associations connected to the solidarity dorsal that will be in the street that day providing various alternative leisure activities, together with several gyms, shops, neighborhood associations and sports organizations in the city, which will selflessly provide their support. There will be about twenty points in the race to encourage the runners along the route. The associations involved are: Amacmec (Association of Women Affected by Breast Cancer in Elche and its area), AFAE (Association of Families Affected by Alzheimer), Child Health Foundation (Fundación Salud Infantil), Cáritas, DYA and Tamarit Association.
The organization of the race has informed that they will deliver about €8,000 euros in cash prizes and maintain a prize of €50 for each hundred runner in the classification of the event. This year, they added a prize of €500 for the circuit record which was premiered last year.
Finally, note the activities scheduled for the weekend of the Half Marathon. Among them, the Runner Fair event, where you can collect the dorsal, and where the partner companies will showcase their products to runners, supporters and anyone who wants to approach sports and enjoy this festive atmosphere. It will take place in the Congress Center on Saturday, March the 21st from 11:00 to 20:30 hours.

There will be boccia, mini-tennis, skating, cycling gymkhana, table tennis, bowling, juggling, orientation circuit, basketball, volleyball, 3 × 3 soccer, athletics, martial arts exhibitions and dance. The Mini Marathon is the culmination of this day, with several races of children, as well as the Adapted Marathon, addressed to all athletes who, despite suffering a disability, have not given up sports, thus becoming excellent examples of perseverance. The activity takes place in the Paseo de la Estación, Parque Deportivo and Parque Municipal on Saturday the 21st, from 16:00 to 20:30 hours.
