From November 11th to December 16th, you have the opportunity to enjoy the products of Castellón during the Gastronomic Days of the Oil and the Nuts that are celebrated in several restaurants of the Maestrat.

The V Gastronomic Days of Oil and Dried Fruits are about to open their doors. The municipalities of Càlig, Cervera del Maestre, Culla, Les Coves de Vinromà, Rossell, Sant Jordi, Sant Mateu and Xert participate in the tastings that are open to all and take place in several restaurants spread across its geography.

 

The establishments have created special menus with oil and nuts that can be tasted from November 11th to December 16th. The idea is to transfer to the dishes the flavours of Alt and Baix Maestrat to show the great gastronomic wealth that the province of Castellón has in its countryside and attract more tourists to the interior of the province.

 

The oil has in this area one of its largest growing centres in the entire Region of Valencia. There is also a great tradition with nuts, as in the Maestrat, they find the ideal climate for their growing and culture.

 

The different restaurants distributed by Càlig, Cervera del Maestre, Culla, Les Coves de Vinromà, Rossell, Sant Jordi, Sant Mateu and Xert will offer their menus from 20 euros onwards. There will be typical recipes of local cuisine mixed with other avant-garde recipes that will always preserve the essence of the traditions. To complete the meal, enjoy the delicious wines from Castellón.
