Charming beaches to go with children

Summer, children and the Region of Valencia are a fantastic combination. Below we will give you a list with the best beaches in each province to enjoy them with the kings of your household.

We will start with Castellón. The Playa de la Concha is in Oropesa del Mar and its location in a small bay makes it a perfect place to go with children since there is almost no swell. The beach of La concha offers a wide variety of activities and services thought for the younger ones like swings, slides and places to practise sports.

Another wonder is the Playa Sur in Peñíscola. Ideal for the elder and the younger, among the best options for family holidays in the Region of Valencia. In Playa Sur, you will find open spaces for activities with children by the Estación Naútica (Nautical Station) where you will have a broad activity programme of aquatic sports for all age groups.

Another option, the Playa Torrenostra in Torreblanca. Two long jetties calm the water of the Mediterranean Sea making Torrenostra a safe place to bathe with the young ones. Its green spaces equipped with places for children’s recreation enlarge the leisure offer; therefore, both adults and children will enjoy the experience.

We move down to Valencia to talk about the Playa de El Saler. If your family enjoys adventure and natural spaces, this is your place since El Saler is one of the few beaches in Valencia situated close to a Natural Park (The Albufera of Valencia). An interesting choice a few kilometres from the capital, ideal for day trips with your family.

The Playa de Xeraco offers only three kilometres of fine and golden sand topped by some natural surroundings of dunes. You have to walk a long distance in for the shore to be deep, what makes it ideal for the bath with children. A civic centre situated in the beach itself offers a program of leisure activities to keep entertained both young and adults.

In Cullera we find the Playa Los Olivos, with a family and peaceful atmosphere, jetties cover it to prevent the entry of winds; therefore, we find a calm sea. The Olivos has a good number of facilities, chiringuitos and restaurants to finish the day with the family tasting rich paella. Bon profit!

And we close the list in Alicante. Between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao we find the Playa El Arenal in Jávea, a very beautiful beach with white sand frequently visited by families. The excellent facilities which include paths for baby-buggies, rent of water skates or pedals and its little deep waters include it among the favourite ones in the province.

The Playa Centre in Guardamar del Segura is not very crowded and it has a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for the families who run away from noise and the daily fight for a space to plant the towel and the parasol. Another natural jewel between two natural parks.

In L’Alfàs del Pi we find the Beach Raco de lAlbir. A curious beach covered with smooth stones, not very crowded and ideal for an escape with the family since it has two parks for children with slides and swings. The water is little deep, although the use of protective footwear is recommended not to hurt your feet.

This is a selection of some beaches to enjoy with your family taking into account both the facilities and the natural environment that surrounds them. Have you already found your favourite one?
