5 things you have not tried to do in Benidorm

Test the most ancient Cable Ski in the world. If you like the sports of adrenaline, in the beach of Levante, you will be able to test the aquatic ski, but not any aquatic ski. The Cable Ski offers you a fantastic circuit to practise nautical ski by means of a wire without the need of a ship. The Cable Ski was created more than 50 years ago like the first activity of this type in the world and nowadays it continues to have the same success. It is apt for all the ages; they even offer modalities for children.

Be amazed by the skyline of Benidorm from above. If you love the amazing sights and do not suffer from vertigo, the best you can do in Benidorm to contemplate his impressive skyline is to go up to the panoramic terrace of the Gran Hotel Bali. For years, it was the highest building in Spain and it is still one of the highest hotels in Europe. It is necessary to pay 6 euros at the reception desk to go up to the flat roof, but the 360 degrees views above the town of Benidorm and the mountains which surround it compensate the price paid.

Excursion to the island of Benidorm. If you have ever been in the beaches of Benidorm, you will have remarked an islote which can be seen on the horizon. It is the island of Benidorm or island of seagulls - by the big colony of these birds which nest there - although the official name is the island of Journalists. To go to the island, boats depart from the port of Benidorm offering pleasant excursion. In the island, you will be able to enjoy the impressive sights of the skyscrapers from the sea as well as the transparent waters in the surroundings of the island, perfect for snorkelling or scuba diving. You can also take a ship with transparent bottom and contemplate the lovely marine bottom without having to jump into the water.

Discover the mercadillos in the city. The streets of Benidorm, as it happens in other tourist places, are full of flea markets which sell all types of souvenirs. Nevertheless, if you like the really authentic markets, you will find them. For example, each Thursday, Saturday and Sunday the Cisne flea market is open El Cisne is beside the Camping Benisol. It offers second hand objects where there are also chiringuitos and live music. Another option is the mercadillo of Benidorm Pueblo in the Avenue l'Admirall Bernat de Sarrià which wait for the visitors each Wednesday and Sunday with stands offering food, fashion, music and much more. Alternatively, on Wednesdays the mercadillo of Foietes is open (by the municipal pavilion of sports).

Enjoy the thematic parks. You cannot leave Benidorm without enjoying any of the different thematic parks of the town. If you are travelling with children, these places are especially recommended to spend the day. In Mundomar Benidorm you will be able to see more than thirty different species of exotic animals, a show of dolphins and you will even be able to bathe among marine lions. Terra Nature is another park with animals where you will be able to enjoy a true immersion in the life of wild animals. Between the different activities, you can even opt by a nocturnal safari which the young ones will surely enjoy very much.
