Rototom Sunsplash, much more than a festival of reggae music

Benicàssim cannot go long without music. Still hangover by FIB, the term is immersed in Benicàssim Rototom Sunsplash. 'Reggae for Freedom' is the motto under which this year is celebrated the best reggae music festival in Europe. Concerts, music, workshops and cultural activities again reclaim peace and good vibes from the 13th to the 20th of August in this beautiful town in Castellon.

Because the Rototom Sunsplash is more than just a music festival, is a hymn to freedom and the brotherhood of human rights and tolerance, solidarity and ecology. The festival has become a world benchmark as an alternative model of festival thanks to the promotion of cultural events that teach sustainability to live, grow, learn and discover through workshops, activities, food, music and cultural debates.

And of course, music. Headliners like Manu Chao, acting for the first time at the festival, or Damian Marley, son of Bob Marley who returns to Benicàssim, will take the stage with true legends of Jamaican music as Tiken Jah Fakoly, Freddie McGregor. You also can let yourself be intoxicated by the music of Marcia Griffiths, Max Romeo, The Congos, Pablo Moses, Morgan Heritage (Grammy for Best Reggae Album 2016) or Inner Circle.

With the Natural Park of the Desert de Les Palmes as background, Benicàssim offers endless places worth visiting. Its sandy beaches and crystal clear waters are ideal to bring the good atmosphere of the festival to a paradise where culture and leisure, rest and bustle, hold hands and dance until dawn.
