The world epicentre of Blues will be located, until March 30, in the city of Alicante, which hosts its II International Blues Festival. Photographic exhibitions, workshops and, of course, concerts, are just some of the proposals of this event that you cannot miss.

The II International Blues Festivalis back in Alicante to enjoy music in all its senses.Until March 30, a program full of activities will make you go through all the notes of this genre so you can feel the rhythm and get into the genre through the voice of professionals.


The conference "From the plantation to the ghetto, a journey through the history of blues", which will be delivered by the writer Manuel López Poy, will serve as a starting point before enjoying the different concerts in the programme throughout the festival. In addition to explaining how this type of modern music passed from the field to society to the present, the writer will present his latest work,Todo Blues.


The central events on the agenda of this International Festival will take place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23. During both days, there will be multiple workshops for the whole family, which can be combined with outdoor acoustic concerts.The cultural centre Las Cigarreras will be the scene for these proposals open to the public.The Fermenters Blues, the SBA Blues Ensemble or the C & A Blues are just some of the names that will go through the scenes of the Vertical Garden and the Black Box. Velma Powell & the Bluedays will be in charge of closing these two days of culture, music and fun, with a great dose of rhythm so that you can bid a wonderful farewell, until the next edition.


The event will not end until the end of the month; since parallel to the days in which it takes place,you can visit the photographic exhibition created from the work of Matías Alhambra, which shows the events of the original edition, last 2018. The doors will be open until March 29th.
