Alicante is gearing up for an exquisite and delicious weekend. Tapas, rice dishes, calderos (stews), hotpots, gazpacho… come and enjoy the best traditional cuisine from Alicante at the IFA, from February 22 to 24. Delicious!

On February 22nd, 23rd and 24th, the first edition of GastroAlicante, a new festival that prolongs the works of previous gastronomic events in the city, will be held. The fundamental goal of GastroAlicante is to promote the popular cuisine of Alicante and its local products and restaurants, an attractive offer at an affordable price.

The display has the support of the foremost representatives of cooking in the province of Alicante, such as Susi Díaz, from the La Finca restuarant; Mª José San Román, from the Monastrell restaurant, or Quique Dacosta, all of whom have a Michelin star, as well as other sanctuaries of traditional cooking in the area, such as Bon Amb, Casa Alfonso, Casa Pepa or L’Escaleta.

The festival offers show cookings starred by the foremost representatives of cooking in the province of Alicante: Quique Dacosta, Bon Amb, Casa Alfonso, Casa Pepa, L’Escaleta, La Finca, Monastrell. Popular cooking contests are also held, such as preparing stew with meatballs or Russian salad, cocktails, gin and tonics or cocktails with Alicante DO wines and tastings of wines, oils and other products. And, of course, master classes from the top chefs in the gastronomy of Alicante.
