Protected by the Cabo de San Antonio headland, this course has real charm, with wide fairways that would suggest a simple course that is easy to play. However, the 34 bunkers around the course can cause problems, particularly those placed around the greens.
Club de Golf JáveaThe hilly terrain can be misleading when playing your shots. The course is flanked by pine trees, adding to the course’s charm. Mediterranean vegetation is well used and strategically placed to bring out the best in the course.
The greens are well cared for and the fairways are wide enough for a driver to be used with confidence when teeing off, looking for extra length to help reaching the green with the second shot on a par 4, for example. The most complicated hole is the 6th, a 355-metre par 4 with a dogleg to the right. T
o make par on this hole, which affords some superb views, amateur players need an accurate first shot to be in with a chance of reaching the green with their second, or at least getting close. If you do reach the green, you then have two putts to make par.
