Alicante beach
Winter is far behind us, and it's time to get out and about and make the most of every ray of sunshine, enjoy the company of your friends, and discover the history of the Costa Blanca coastline and everything on offer in its capital city, Alicante, this week.
In fact, on 8th May, starting at 12 o'clock midday, the city's Port will be home to the Alicante Spring Festival, an event especially designed for lovers of house and techno music who are also looking to have a good time with the entertainment and performances taking place in the Volvo Ocean Race enclosure.

And as the perfect complement for a fun day out, why not go down to the beaches of San Juan or El Postiguet and take a refreshing dip in the sea before exploring the capital and its most emblematic monuments? Among these monuments, you should not miss the Santa Bárbara Castle, located on Mount Benacatil, the Co-Cathedral of San Nicolás and the Basilica of Santa María, three of the city's symbols.
