Vila-real church
Easter Week in Vila-real is one of the oldest and most fascinating celebrations of its kind in the province of Castellón. Since 1546 this town in Castellón Costa Azahar has welcomed a large number of visitors looking to enjoy deep-rooted traditions such as the Tamborrada drum parade on Palm Sunday, a festivity that takes place this year on 20th March at 8 p.m. This spectacular parade will make its way through the Plaça Sant Pasqual square, continuing along the streets of Raval San Pascual and Major Sant Jaume, ending up in the Plaça de la Vila and Plaça Major squares.

So, taking a trip down to Vila-real and visiting the Plaza de la Vila, a square declared a Cultural Asset, taking in the remains of the Medieval wall or the monumental Arciprestal Church, also declared a Cultural Asset, is an offer that is hard to beat.
You should also not miss out on the opportunity to visit the Hermitage of Our Lady of Grace (Virgen de Gracia) either, just two kilometres from the town centre and the Paseo Botánico, acknowledged as one of the best Herbalists in the world with over six thousand samples of different plants.
