Visiting Vinaròs in February is a great option. The festive atmosphere that fills the streets thanks to its very famous Carnival means that the light and colour offered by a sunny day in Vinaròs meet with serious competition from its colourful nights. From 5th to 15th February, joy and uproar will be taking over every corner of this town.
The Carnival is a celebration that precedes Lent, where people let their imagination run wild. Although numerous towns and villages in the Region of Valencia celebrate this traditional festival, the celebrations held in Vinaròs are particularly outstanding. In this town, they choose their Carnival Queens and His Royal Highness, Carnestoltes, who is the star of the festival in an act charged with symbolism.

But before hitting the town at night, you should really enjoy the coastline of Vinaròs, its landscapes and monuments. Its unspoilt coves, with rocky shorelines and crystal clear waters, such as Cala Puntal, its fine sandy beaches, such as Playa del Fortí, and the bustling seaside promenade could be the first stop on a visit that should continue to the Torre de los Moros.
But if there is one star that shines with its own light in Vinaròs it is the king prawn. The culinary specialities of Vinaròs include a wide variety of fish and seafood, but the king prawn is the most famous delicacy. So now you know… Vinaròs will delight you!
