Vall de Pop, a journey through sound

Publication date: 30/11/2009

Vall de Pop Vall de Pop

The Vall de Pop valley encompasses nine municipalities (Alcalalí, Benigembla, Benissa, Castell de Castells, Lliber, Murla, Parcent, Senija and Xaló) spread across a vast territory of great beauty and ecological value. From the fantastic coves of Benissa to the high peaks of Castell de Castells, valleys follow mountains that follow valleys and so it continues. But the river, with its crystal clear summer waters, is the unifying thread that links this magical valley.

Go hiking or cycling, taste the best wines, admire the cave paintings of Pla de Petracos and sample the typical dishes of the Vall de Pop... these are just a few of the countless experiences you can have in this privileged enclave of La Marina Alta.

Font de la Bota Font de la Bota

This association of municipalities is organising the first Tot Vall de Pop Fair from 4th to 13th December, which includes a series of festive and cultural activities as well as programmed routes that will point out the historic heritage and landscapes of the nine municipalities that make up the Vall de Pop. During this time, you can also try the menus laid on at associated restaurants, which will be offering the best of the valley's traditional gastronomy.
